Our Story
How We Got Here
A Little About Us
Our story began in college at a Steak ’n Shake where Chrissy was working as a server.
Chrissy: I put Ryan in my section immediately because he was cute. It took many, many months for my friends to stop referring to him as “cute boy.” Some still do.
Ryan: I took my time working up the courage to add her on Facebook, and she accidentally took her time adding me back.
Our first date was watching Star Trek: The Next Generation together in Ryan's dilapidated college house. Lucky for him, Chrissy stayed anyway.
Once we finally connected, something just clicked. Since then, we’ve grown up together for 13 years. We’ve moved through new chapters, and built a life filled with the small moments that somehow became the big ones. This wedding is our way of honoring that journey and celebrating with the people who have supported and shaped us along the way.
We’re so excited to share this day with you.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I bring a plus-one?
We love you and your people, but our guest list is cozy and intentional. If your invitation includes a guest, you'll see their name on the envelope.
Are kids invited?
We adore your little ones, but this will be an adults-only evening.
Will the ceremony be indoors?
Yes. Everything is indoors, in one venue, and climate-controlled (Chicago weather can do whatever it wants).
Do you have a registry?
We don’t! After thirteen years together, we’re grateful to have what we need. Your presence is more than enough, especially for those traveling to Chicago to celebrate with us. If you’d like to mark the occasion, we’d love a card or personal note. Otherwise, please enjoy the weekend, explore the city, and make a Chicago memory or two.
